    Ben & Robbie are superb hosts as well as being genuinely lovely people. Our big family stayed here over Christmas and the place suited us very well. The cottage was spotlessly clean, they provided us with all equipment needed for Christmas dinner. The two hot tubs are a great addition to this lovely cottage and were ready on our arrival. Ben and Robbie left clear instructions and were always quick with their responses if we had any questions. Upon our arrival they left a lovely hamper full of local produce and some beautiful flowers. They have put a lot of effort into this place and all the little details and added extras just reflect how much they care. We brought along a few of our dogs and they had dog towels, dishes and bowls as well as toys and poo bags so I would highly recommend Black Smith cottage if you need somewhere to stay with your pets. The property is located in a beautiful area and felt private which is what we wanted. We hope to come back next year. Thanks guys!

    A beautiful place to stay, Ben and Robbie were very responsive to our queries and left a generous hamper for us to use during our stay - I would love to come back again and I strongly recommend this would be a perfect place for a summer trip away.
    Surroundings were amazing and there was good element of privacy in the location. The outdoor area was stunning and we were fortunate that we had good weather to utilise this. As with all cottages a little tough for someone tall like me to operate a round but soon got use to this!
    Overall I would recommend this place to anyone I know - lovely personalisations on towels provided - the place had everything you could think of.

    Superb find. Very reasonable price. Outstanding hosts.
    Everything about The Blacksmith Cottage was superb- from the friendly and responsive and communication leading to our arrival, to the high standard of cleanliness and the beautiful decor and attention to detail in the cottage and gardens.
    Ben and Robbie went out of their way to make our stay perfect. We took full advantage of the local discounts they offered at The Meynell Arms and The Deer Park too.
    The Blacksmith Cottage was the perfect spot for a weekend of relaxation and fun for our party. The hot tubs were incredible and the outdoor fire pit and seating area were the perfect finishing touch. Thank you for a wonderful stay- we’ll be back!

    Exceptional few days at this beautiful cottage. Old world charm meets modern hot tub madness! We had a really lovely time and our every need was taken care of - from the welcome hamper to the flex around check in and out. Stunning location next to a charming pub. What’s not to love? Delightful hosts - truly a luxurious experience.

    Had such an amazing time at the Blacksmith cottage. We will definitely be back. The cottage had everything we could have needed and wanted.
    We met the host and he was super friendly and helpful. It was safe for our dogs and toddler. The apple trees in the garden were a lovely surprise.
    We didn’t get the chance to go to the pub next door, but it seemed very lively.
    We didn’t want to leave and were sad our staycation was coming to an end.

    Beautiful characterful home in the Staffordshire countryside with the added benefit of an excellent country pub right next door! Lots of attention to detail and the outside areas are stunning. We spent most of the time enjoying the garden areas and hot tubs. Quite compact indoors if you’re a large group. Friendly hosts. We had an amazing time and will hopefully return one day, thank you.

    Ideal for families: pleasant, wonderful home, large garden, and two hot tubs. The hosts were always proactive and responded quickly. Fantastic check-in experience, beautiful bouquet of flowers, and delicious treats for breakfast.
